Established in 1976, Community Advocates provides a range of services and programs to low-income and at-risk Milwaukee families and individuals. It offers health care advocacy, case management, energy assistance and protective payee services. The agency also assists in social security income appeals for people with disabilities and mental illness. It provides services to victims of domestic violence and their abusers through Milwaukee Women s Center. Community Advocates additionally offers programs for children, youth and their families that help prevent teen pregnancy, child abuse and neglect, violence, gang involvement, and alcohol and drug abuse. It is located in Milwaukee.
