Established in 1910, the United States division of Aecon Buildings is one of North America s most experienced project delivery specialists. The branch grew from roots in Frontier Construction Company, which was formed in 1985 as part of the Foundation Co. of Canada. In 1997, Frontier and several other companies were consolidated to form BFC Frontier, which became part of Aecon Corporation in 1999 when it was acquired by Toronto-based Armbro Enterprises. The corporation is one of Canada s largest publicly owned construction and infrastructure companies. The U.S. division specializes in entertainment/hospitality, retail, office/industrial and mixed-use projects. Aecon Buildings is in Lynnwood, Wash.
