David was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and was raised primarily on the East coast. He has two younger brothers and two younger sisters. He currently maintains a residence in the Puget Sound with his family. After graduating law school, he was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association. Prior to joining the firm he enjoyed a successful and varied legal practice.
