The Division of Child and Family Services works to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect and dependency. It is a part of the Utah Department of Human Services and maintains one of its offices in Vernal, Utah. The division offers adoption services that help obtain permanent homes for children who cannot return to their original homes safely. Its team of social workers provides crisis intervention for children and their families in times of trauma and confusion.
