About

Capital Area Counseling Service provides behavioral and mental health programs and services to individuals and families in South Dakota. The center is accredited by the State of South Dakota as a mental health, addiction treatment and child welfare agency. It provides a variety of addiction and mental health services, including prevention classes, screening and assessment, group counseling, medication management and psychological testing. The center also provides psychosocial rehabilitation, therapeutic foster care, involuntary commitment evaluation and residential services. In addition, it assists the community coalitions in identifying needs regarding substance abuse and dependence issue
