Dr. Denise Shapiro was the first practicing female periodontist and is currently one of only five board-certified periodontists in Rhode Island. She built and maintains a beautiful state-of-the-art periodontal office on the East Side of Providence. She has been practicing periodontal therapy (gum treatment) since 1987 and has created a reputation as an outstanding clinician. Dr. Shapiro enjoys her relationship with her referring dentists in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and has established excellent communication with them.
