Founded in 1939, the Coos Curry Electric Cooperative is a nonprofit organization that offers a range of electric services to the residents of Curry, Coos, Douglas and Josephine counties in Oregon. It has more than 14,000 members and provides online meter reading services. The electric cooperative has over 1,500 miles of transmission lines between Gold Beach and Brookings in Oregon. The Coos Curry Electric Cooperative provides various energy conservation services. It administers the Round-Up Program, which assists low-income families to pay electric bills. The electric cooperative also offers automatic payment options. The Coos Curry Electric Cooperative utilizes automated meter reading technology, as well as provides net metering services.
