 Dr. Farris was born in Tulsa, OK graduating as "Boy of the Year" in a senior class of over 700 students in 1969 from Will Rogers High School with numerous scholastic and academic awards and honors. He went on to attend The University of Tulsa with scholarship where he received the Bachelor of Science degree in 1973. He then attended Oklahoma State University where he was awarded the Master of Science degree in 1974. After O.S.U., he was accepted as one of only 5 contract students from Oklahoma to attend The University of Houston College of Optometry where he graduated with his Doctor of Optometry degree as part of an accelerated program 6 months early in December, 197
