Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative is a nonprofit, member-owned electric cooperative. A board of eight trustees governs the cooperative. The cooperative services a large area of central New Mexico. This area includes Bernalillo, Chavez, Guadalupe, Lincoln, DeBaca, Sandoval, San Miguel, Socorro, Valencia and Sante Fe counties. Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative has approximately 4,000 miles of line that provides electricity to nearly 14,000 consumers. Central New Mexico Electric operates several highly-trained crews that are based in Mountainair, Moriarty, Corona and Vaughn, N.M.Central New Mexico Electric Cooperative maintains its headquarters in Mountainair, N.M.
