In 1964, Bob Boisvert Sr. had a breakthrough idea standardizing air conditioning in new homes that had oil-fired warm-air heat. With a contract to install these systems into a 60-home development in Nashua, he partnered with a local plumber and a Nashua oil dealer to form Malone's Associated Services Incorporated ( later to be abbreviated MASI ), and went to work. In the late 60s, Bob Sr.'s partner left and his son Bob Jr. joined the business, bringing with him knowledge of the trade and a commitment to growing the young company. He started by working out of the plumbing and heating store Bob Sr. had also established, at 36 Otterson Street in Nashua, catering to the do-it-yourselfer and small contractor who required product and/or advice on installation
