Established in 2000, Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative is one of 17 distribution cooperatives in North Dakota. Formed out of the merger of James Valley Electric Cooperative and RSR Electric Cooperative, the company distributes electricity supplied by Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Western Area Power Administration. The firm s energy management services include Electricity on the farm, Managing Your Energy, Power Quality, Real Load Data and Seasonal Use or Absenteeism. Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative is a member of the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
