Cass County Electric Cooperative is a nonprofit, customer-owned electric distribution system serving nearly 30,000 members in an eight-county area in southeastern North Dakota. Its headquarters is located in Kindred, N.D. The company has service centers in Fargo, N.D.; Valley City, N.D.; Lisbon, N.D.; and Arthur, N.D. Organized in 1937, the cooperative has nearly 5,500 miles of power lines and more than 30 substations. It employs nearly 100 people and generated revenue of approximately $50 million in 2005.
