Founded in 1969, Waite House provides human services and community-building activities. Its facilities include a kitchen, gymnasium, meeting space, food shelf and classrooms. The center offers Kids College, a reading and tutoring program that builds reading and comprehension skills in children in kindergarten through grade eight. Waite House also offers Jumpstart, which is a service-learning program designed to work with youths in grades seven and eight.
