Founded in 1971, the Occupational Development Center, also known as ODC, is a community rehabilitation business that receives referrals for services from the Department of Economic Security and County Social Services. It places people with disabilities in various working environments, such as cleaning and janitorial work, office and retail sales, product sorting and restaurant workers. The center provides employment, job development and placement, maintenance support, post employment and closure services. The Occupational Development Center also provides subcontracting services, including assembly, packaging, die cutting, sewing, collating, sorting, mail processing and document shredding.
