The Greater Waltham Association for Retarded Citizens, also known as GWARC, is a private, nonprofit organization that serves individuals and families with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1956, it administers day education programs that serve more than 25 adults and offer personal care, community access, and communication and leisure skills development training sessions. The organization provides physical, speech and occupational therapies. The Greater Waltham Association for Retarded Citizens also offers nursing and behavioral consultation services. It provides employment training, placement and vocational solution
