The Golden West Skills Center is a member of the ResCare corporate family. ResCare delivers services to persons with disabilities, youth with special needs and adults with barriers to employment. ResCare was founded by Jim Fornear in 1974 and in 1978, ResCare opened its first operation for persons with developmental disabilities. The firm s disabilities services include developmental disabilities services, acquired brain injury services and in-home services to older people. ResCare s youth services include foster care, residential services, adjudicated youth services and youth shelters.
