John graduated from the University of Idaho in 1976 and is a member of the Idaho Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Orofino Rotary and is a board member of the Idaho Public Television. He was a prior board member of the Clearwater Private Industries Council.
