Friendship Ark Homes is a private, nonprofit organization that offers residential and community support for persons with intellectual disabilities in Central Iowa. It works to provide homes for persons with intellectual disabilities and help them reach their physical, emotional and spiritual potential. The organization s operational costs are funded on a fee-for-service basis under the Medicaid Home and Community-Based Waiver Program for persons with intellectual disabilities. Friendship Ark Homes has a community that includes staff members, volunteers, friends and a Board of Directors. It is located in Ames, Iowa.
