Established in 1883, West End Neighborhood House is a nonprofit community development organization that serves struggling immigrant families in Delaware. The organization offers employment, recreational, and afternoon and evening health education programs to prevent school drop-outs, smoking, teenage pregnancy, and drug and alcohol abuse among high-risk urban youth. Its tutoring program provides academic services to students in grades 1 through 12 from low- and moderate-income families.
