As a nonprofit, Banner Health exists to provide health care services to the communities we serve, rather than generate profits. That means that every dollar we earn is reinvested into: New hospital beds, new or expanding patient care services, new physician services, new technologies, maintaining existing equipment and facilities, and aying employees salaries. Banner also provides more than $153 million in charity care through our Financial Assistance Program. In addition, we subsidize the medical education costs for hundreds of medical residents (physicians in training), the majority of whom will stay in Arizona and Colorado, where they traine
