Native to Arkansas, I grew up in Conway and attended Harding University where I graduated with a degree in American Studies. During my sophomore year at Harding, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy and also got to enjoy some of that time traveling around Europe. Following graduation, I attended law school at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. During my time in law school, I worked as a law clerk for the Arkansas Attorney General's Office. Upon receiving my attorney license, I practiced for a short time as a criminal defense attorney before returning to the Attorney General's Office as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division where I represented state boards and agencie
