Founded in 1988, Stage Stores Inc. is a specialty department store that offers private label apparel, accessories, cosmetics and footwear for the entire family. It has more than 780 stores operating under the Bealls, Goody's, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage trade names. The company offers various brands, such as adidas, Elizabeth Arden, Hannah, Dockers, Lee, Van Heusen and South Pole, to name a few. In 2006, Stage Stores Inc. acquired B.C. Moore & Sons Incorporated, a company operating 78 stores in small markets throughout the southeastern states.
