First Electric Cooperative Corporation is a non profit electric distribution cooperative, incorporated in 1937. Based in Arkansas, the electric cooperative serves more than 87,000 member accounts throughout parts of over 17 counties in central and southeast Arkansas. The company owns and maintains approximately 9,300 miles of distribution power lines and over 42 substations. Its products and service offerings include compact fluorescent lights, energy audits, green power, load management switches and co-op connections cards, to name a few.
