Lack of range of motion and inflammation are identifiers related to an injury. The peripheral nervous system extends to all reaches of the body sending and receiving sensory signals to the central nervous system and then registered by the brain indicating that you have a problem. The way to correct this type of problem isn't by addressing where your brain is recognizing the signal is coming from which gives you immediate pain; that pain is your body's guards or reaction to signal that will inhibit movement in an attempt to prevent the injury from getting even worse. By taking out the guards, will then expose the real issue which is usually an encapsulated injury and come to the surface to be resolved.
